Screenwriting : Searching for producer by Derek Poulsen

Searching for producer

Hey, folks.  I'm searching for a producer on my second feature - BUTTONMAN.  It's spec, just like the last one:  No financing, stars or set-up attached.  Any advice on how and where to get a producer on board?  Nothing seems to be working so far online.  The sites I've checked aren't helpful at all with finding serious producers. Will it be a case of working with people you know or actually going to film sets, or going to production houses oneself? Or is there somewhere online I don't know about? Please, any advice would help. Thanks.

Are you planning on directing it or are you looking for someone to come in, take your script and assemble a crew?

Stephen Floyd

How did you get your first feature produced?

Doug Nelson

You say that you're a Producer...then produce it yourself. At least produce a trailer for it; whatever...you need something to showcase your skill. Go make a short or two. That's the best way I can think of. All the best with it.

aint we all looking for online Investors-strangers? Real money is face to face. Gotta look at people in the eyes and sell them your dream

Derek Poulsen

My first was produced by me. Job money I had. It only cost $2500.00, to be fair. Yeah, I'm directing this myself. Actually, Dan Max just answered my question perfectly. Real money is in person.
