Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well. I'd like to know if anyone could point me in the right direction, either by explaining the best way to do so, or where I can find examples of properly writing a montage of events that happen to a character in a screenplay as "Action"? What I mean is, I'd like to know how to properly write in a script, say for example, the rise and fall of a character via a montage of newspaper clippings flashing by. There would be at least 6-8 newspaper clippings that would be shown with specific information. I was thinking of looking through superhero scripts, since I've seen a number of films that do this, but I have all you guys to ask as well. Thank you. - Tony

The Screenwriter's Bible by Dave Trottier is a good source.
Thank you so much Doug.
yup, read Trottier's book and then read some modern screenplays and then figure it out yourself. It's all trial & error. Your pages gotta look right - even when you don't know - it's gotta look pro. Clarity & simple sentences, so that the dumbest reader/crew person reads it and understands what you want.
