Producer

Hello Everyone,

My name is Tricia and I am the part-owner of Mercury Ocean a digital media production company. We create and produce films and music videos in Virtual Reality. We are currently working on two up and coming films, a retro horror thriller "Oh Beautiful Ugly Beach" and an untitled skateboarding film featuring the music of the International band Senchi, both being filmed off of the east coast and due out sometime this spring. We are also in the pre-production of a music video for an up and coming rap artist Tut Grady. Our first VR film was "Wrath of the Rollergirl" filmed in LA featuring The LA Renegade Roller Girls. We are always looking for ways to network within the film industry. If anyone has suggestions or would like to collaborate on a project. We are always happy to assist.

Hi Tricia, I love Myrtle Beach. In fact my wife and I met there at the Pavilion back in 1972! And we're still together. We just celebrated our 45th Anniversary. I have a concept that might work in your format - MARS GENERAL. Think of it as "E.R. on Mars." I think it could work well in VR. It's on my Profile Page. My email is wgunn1953@hotmail.com

Hello Tricia. I am fascinated with VR. In fact I did a learnership in Cape Town at a company that was attempting to make South Africa's first full length VR feature film. The film didn't work out, the company lost its funding due to a lack of results. The issue they had was either using arrows to direct the audience's focus in the 360 frame of losing their audience in the wide frame.

They recruited us screenwriters to come and work with cinematographers to try and find a way to navigate the frame using the narrative and shots because the funders didn't like the arrow navigation tool. I have since wrote a short film that does exactly that, it's a 2min short, 1 scenic location and a good reason to travel to South Africa to make a film for film festival submissions because the screenplay is worthy contender.

I'd also like to learn from your experiences shooting your various projects because VR is still struggling to find its cinematography angles when telling narrative driven stories. Ever since I did my learnership, I've been extremely fascinated with telling a story in a 360 frame without making the audience miss a detail behind their backs.

I look forward to connecting with you.

All the best
