Hi everyone!
I posted a similar question in post production. With 3D modeling/animation becoming more feasible to indie budgets, I'm interested in knowing if anyone has insight on the market. So if you do or think you may know, please chime in:
Do you feel studios first seek to hire a contractor/vendor to provide 3D assets and animation, or do studios search for "ready-made" models and animation instead? And let me know why either way
Do you feel the need for 3D modelers and animators is growing/sustaining/shrinking in the film and tv industry?
Which is more in demand - modeler - animator - or maybe a generalist with both skills?
What do you think the typical budget for 3D modeling and animation is and what is your ideal budget?
Thanks!
