Evening all. I'm a NY-based writing professional currently working as a junior copywriter, but also working towards my bigger goal of getting my scripts made into films in the near future.
I've had two films produced a few years ago, but it wasn't until a few months ago that I started to really delve into the craft of storytelling. I've been actively learning new concepts, applying them to my own stories, breaking down shows and films (Killing Eve, The Sinner, etc) and also analyzing scripts as a script reader for an ongoing screenplay competition.
Two weeks ago, I would have said my goal was to get at least one scene from a script I'm writing produced by the end of the year. Or even acted for an actor's reel (group of actors). With my second goal being to enter a few screenplay contests by year's end. But for the foreseeable future, I'm moreso focused on the latter.
I'm here to connect with other storytellers and creatives, and hopefully to collaborate in the very near future in a non-remote fashion.
To you as well, Vincent. I see you have a Script Revolution. I'll definitely have to check out your work. Love the old photos of Carole Lombard on your blog. I don't know her myself, but she sort of reminds me of Marlene Dietrich. I've always loved old photos of Hollywood starlets.
What a diva lol. Love it...
Yeah...That bit was more about Marlene and her preoccupation with other women outshining her.
