Pandemic Quarantine Project - Documentary

Hi community! I have a project I would like to share with you :)

COVID-19 or Coronavirus has changed our lives, at least for a bit. However, human beings are able to adapt itself over and over again (look at Italians ah-ah).

The quarantine blocked everyone at home so people invented new ways of training, learning, playing, meeting, working etc... or they simply went back to what we used to do before technology became our best friend. Many people have new hobbies or resumed some because of the status quo. Clever, I would say!

I want to make a documentary about the positive side of this dramatic event, and I am looking for people who want to contribute with their videos. In 1, 10, 50 years, we might watch it again and say, “Wow, do you remember when…? I did this and that” because every moment of our life is precious and we can find beauty even in tragedy. If you would like to be part of it, please send me an email at francesco.volpi86@gmail.com

Each participant can say his/her name, profession/field of study, city-nation. They can show their city, peculiarities such as flags stuck to balconies, people singing, home flashmobs, empty roads, people outside, everything they think is cool, bad, creepy, strange etc... Besides, they can show how their life has changed in terms of rhythm, work, relationships, habits, hobbies.

It is a project where freedom plays a big role. Feel free to contribute with your thoughts, stories, everything you like. I wish we could show the world that hope has not died yet :)

If someone has already started something similar I would be glad to contribute :)

Innovative concept, Francesco. Good on you for taking this on.

Dan MaxXx

how do you plan to make money, sell it to a distributor, take care of bookkeeping, who's in charge, who's the final decision maker?

Francesco Volpi

Hello Dan :) I want to do it for free, as a gift to our world. I want this as a witness. For now, I'm collecting videos and ideas how to make it great. I also have a page on Instagram Pandemicquarantine where I am posting pics and video.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey, Francesco Volpi ! I dig this idea! A friend of mine in Paris has been doing the 8pm cheering for a while now. You can read about her journey on her blog: https://coronachronicles2021.wordpress.com/ I can't seem to tag her, but you can search for her: Monique Callendar.

Debbie Croysdale

@Francesco This is cool idea. Will send footage later date. Reckon still a long way to go with this strange blip in time, in being not life as we know it.

Francesco Volpi

Thank you Debbie!

Jonathon Blankenship

Hey brother I’m down for sure!! Great idea!

S.B. Goncarova

Yes, this sounds amazing, Francesco!

Francesco Volpi

I am very happy that you like the project, guys! I am still looking for contributions from all over the world! I think we have the opportunity to make something unique!

James Hoey

Hello Francesco! This is an amazing project you've put out there for yourself. In a recent episode of our podcast we suggested people do this very kind of thing. If not just for the practice of piecing a documentary together, but to create something. It is a very unique time we find ourselves in, and hopefully a couple of generations will pass before anything like this happens again. I hope you get some fantastic contributions to push this forward.

Francesco Volpi

Ciao James! Thank you for the support, I hope to get a lot of material to create a testament of this peculiar time :) Good luck with the podcast!
