TV Bible

Does anybody have a solid formula for a good TV series bible? I just finished a pilot, and I'm really looking forward to expanding this world and eventually getting it out into the world to hopefully get picked up and produced!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Trey --

I'm not an expert but this is the format I'm following - sections/paragraphs on:

- The Series Concept (Logline)

- The World

- The Theme(s)

- The Tone/Genre (tonal comps)

- The Characters (Series Regulars - back stories and their role in the series)

- The Pilot Logline and/or Synopsis (super brief if the pilot is already written and being attached)

- Sample Mid-Season Episode(s) (Logline and/or Synopsis)

- Sample End of Season Episode (Logline and/or Synopsis)

- Season 2 Arc - Logline and/or Synopsis

- Season 3 Arc - Logline and/or Synopsis

- Include images a la a ‘look book’!

I have a pdf of the Stranger Things bible but I don't see a way to attach it here. But you can google it. It's floating around online.

Similarly:

1- SERIES LOGLINE

2- BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS FOR EACH OF YOUR MAIN CHARACTERS

3. BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS DETAILING INTER-CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS

4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PLOTS IN THE PILOT EPISODE

4a. A PLOT

4b. B PLOT

4c. C PLOT, ETC. (IF APPLICABLE)

5. A SUMMARY (500 WORDS OR LESS) OF EACH ACT IN THE PILOT

6. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ARC WITHIN THE PILOT EPISODE

6a. THE ARC WITHIN THE FIRST SEASON

6b. THE ARC WITHIN THE WHOLE SERIES

7. MULTI SEASON PROJECTION, HOW THIS SHOW WILL GENERATE A HUNDRED EPISODES OR MORE
