Just joined Stage 32. First time here. Retired in 2014 from 27 years as an FBI Agent. Worked as Tech Advisor/stuntman/background actor on Criminal Minds Beyond Borders for 2 seasons. When that was canceled I went over to Criminal Minds as a writer's consultant in the writers room. Got to co-write one of the last episodes after Criminal Minds ended its 15 season run. Got hired as a staff writer last year on a new crime drama coming to HBO Max in....was supposed to be 2020 but now who knows. I co-wrote and episode of that and ep script has been accepted at studio (Warner Horizon). Now working on my sample so I can get staffed on another crime show while writing my own pilots for a one hour drama and half hour comedy, both based on my time in the FBI.
While I was still in the FBI I took screenwriting classes at UCLA and devoured every book and online course I could fit into my schedule. I love the collaborative spirit of a writers room and can't wait to get back in a room, in the meantime, taking online courses and working on my pilots. Looking forward to getting to meet creative people here.
Thanks,
Bobby

Hey Bobby interesting background as well as present day reality in the writing world.. Cheers to you and welcome. I am a newbie, not even a year into this but today I said to myself I wish I had known everything I know now at the start of this journey. But writing has been a life long thing though I had a learning curve in the script world.
