A Change Has Come

Hi. After performing in 47 different states, working onset for over 10 seasons and currently producing a variety show for television, COVID-19 has literally taken the breath out of the room. Nothing will be the same for awhile as we all have to adapt.  As a writer/producer, my focus is on the near future and where I need to spend energy now.  With that said, I’m glad to have this platform, hope to interact with more regularity and look forward to our new beginnings!      -MC Franklin

Hey, MC Franklin! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage32. Nice to meet you! Wow, 10 seasons is amazing! Are you allowed to talk about it or are you still under confidentiality? Are you hoping to develop your own material as a writer/producer or are you hoping to work with someone else on their writing?

I'd love for you to start a post (or ten) in the Producing Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing) - I know more than a few members can relate, and even more would love to learn from your extensive experience!

If you'd like more information about how to explore the Lounges to meet more members and network, please enjoy my most recent blog post:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!

47? wow that's a ton of traveling. I think at some point everyone will get sick of this and not listen to doctors like most people that are healthy don't do anyway. I think that's what will change everything back to us all enjoying being together instead of afraid of it. We need each other and some point that will become the force that breaks free and normalizes it all again. Or some new sensational MSM story will do it refocusing everyone away from the "We're all going to die" scenario.

To be clear, WL Wright, the only way out of this is to listen to our doctors - wear masks, wash hands, check temperatures, and if there is any question as to whether or not you could be infected, better to test and self-quarantine than to risk your or other people's lives. I think you mean we shouldn't be listening to sensationalized news reports without fact-checking, right?

WL Wright

We have different opinions, I accept that. My experience tells me wash your hands yes, I do it because through the years I've seen too many who don't and it's why I am very rarely sick. But everyone gets sick of being afraid at some point. That's humanity and fear is mostly irrational when we look back on mass fears that gov. sold. Like the marijuana public service announcements of the olden days.

Thank you for the warm welcome. ... and "Yes", as far as wearing masks, My gf has cancer. Her immune system is weak because of the chemo treatments that she is going thru, I can't bring home anything as simple as a cold. I wear a mask for the people I love. I do wish more people had more compassion but until it happens to them or someone of importance to them, it's hard to comprehend.
