In my state Victoria, Australia and I’m sure many other countries facing the continual lockdowns, film and Television studios and projects have had to find other ways of working. Actors are now faced with filming their own auditions which for some can be quite daunting.
I’ve previously worked in this manner with actors during Christmas breaks which gave them an opportunity to audition whilst on holiday.
I’ve decided to now coach actors in this method of auditioning. Although I’m not concentrating on the technical aspects of self taping, I will be providing relative information on this also for students, my aim is to teach students how to prepare and gain the best possible self-taped audition.
