I'm an award-winning screenwriter and director from West Bengal, India. The infatuation with the art of photography at his father's darkroom took its span of time to grow within him a knack for storytelling through paintings, poems, stories, and films.
My films have screened over 50 film festivals across the world winning multiple accolades, awards, and distribution deals. My short film is now streaming on Apple Tv, Amazon Fire Tv, Roku etc. My latest projects include experimenting with the forms of cinema and writing and producing for a niche interactive media audience.
After graduating as a first-class honor in English Literature, I moved on to Mumbai with my training in film, television, and video Production from Xavier Institute of Communications. Coming out of the college, I was soon sucked into the industry with a swarming number of reality shows which ranged between fiction and non-fiction, all alike.
In the mix of all these projects, I could still find a weekend or a night out, to moonlight on my passion for telling stories that challenge the status quo. After almost four years of slogging in the television circuit, I decided to freelance as a film-maker, working only on projects that don't let me sleep, either in the night or the next morning!
I had quit my job recently and have looked at pursuing this career, but the pandemic had really sucked a lot out of that dream. I have lost a producer who was interested in working on a pilot with me. I have lost some other gigs on the sides too. So here I am looking for options to virtually direct, write, and let my career flourish with my skills. I have already worked on a short in this model, and it would soon be released on some platforms. I will be working with a few artists over this weekend on another project.
But, I am largely looking at projects with a fee and a name credit attached to them, so if you or anybody reading this had something up for me. Drop a line, ask for my past works or share your project details, and let's do it!
