Screenwriting : Advice maybe? by Shyhiem Walker

Advice maybe?

Hey everyone,

I'm finally fully finished my animated show concept. I have been trying to get my concept into the right hands. I even got a rejection from Warner Brother on VPF. I was told that he loved the Worldbuilding I put into the story, but wasn't what he was looking for. I've received that same criticism that they aren't looking for what I made, but they find it interesting.

I still refuse to give up. I will keep pushing like everyone else. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get animations into the hands of a literary agent if possible. Thanks!

Also here is another comment someone made about my pitch/query

Animation is a hard sell. If it's expensive and you're not known, even more. You'll have more chances if you attach someone known, or you're referred by someone.

My advice:

You can animate a "proof of concept" short film and try to market that piece.

You can put it aside and write more things, try to build a name, and network. And then try again.

But don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Okay thanks for the advice.
