Hi everybody,
My name is Rogelio Rodriguez “Roger”. I joined Stage32 not long ago and here I am introducing myself.
I have always worked on my own stories and just about three years ago I started my first official short film which I finally finished a bit before COVID. Here I leave you the link just in case you are interested.
Currently I have two more short films ready to start looking for some funding. One of them is full CG.
I’m based in Vancouver and my main connections are in the VFX industry as my main professional career has been mainly there. That is why I’m looking to expand my network among more producers and filmmakers willing to collaborate and take projects off the ground.
I’m also writing a couple of features right now and I find that all my stories always involve the culture clash that I have lived for many years now, being originally from Mexico.
Anyways, long story short, I agree that we all need some encouragement and help from our peers sharing our passion in the work we do. This is the only way great generations of filmmakers keep coming up in history.

I would definitely take advantage of all the free perks here at Stage 32 - you can build out your bio and include your loglines on your profile. This allows people to easily find, rate and give feedback on them. In addition, there are blogs, some free webinars, and if you follow them on IG and sign up for their newsletter, you get the perks of a ton of education.
