This year I'll adapt one of my short stories into a 'short film' of about 10 minutes. My suspense story 'Room Available' will be an exam film at the end of the year for my 'Director Fiction' training at the Dutch Academy for Image Creation (Amsterdam Film School).
The story was published in 2006 in the collection 'Dark Pearls', which includes published stories by Dutch authors (including Thomas Olde Heuvelt). 'Room available' is in fact a 'gothic love story', in which I include a nod to today's society.
The necessity for me to do this: reality always inspires fiction, but fiction also gives a nice reflection on reality.
