Hello, hello, hello Anthony Kelly calling.
I read a book yesterday it was 545 pages long, one writer and three editors, I found six spelling mistakes all in simple three or four letter words. It was a hardback published book by a big publisher.
Am I a geek, a nerd? Probably, I also have won a couple of short story writing prizes, some of those had typos too.
Spelling and grammar help but its your unique voice that counts when telling the story. I'd really like to collaborate with other artists and laugh a lot, even of it's on a zoom call!

Hey there Anthony! If that makes you a geek, then count me in - when you are a writer, it's just something you pick up on. You are certainly right about unique voice over momentary lack of technique. Good to hear from you!

Hello Anthony. I spent an incredible amount of time editing my first book. When the proof copy arrived, I read it again, out loud, and then read it backwards. It wasn't until the final copies arrived that I found two mistakes. One was an Australian grammar thing and the other was the wrong choice of spelling of a word with different options (eg waist and waste). Edit, edit, and edit is my mantra. :-) All the best!

Great to meet you Anthony. I was senior editor for a science fiction, fantasy & horror magazine for 8 years. So yeah, I'm that kinda geek too.

Hi, Anthony Kelly, it's great to meet you! I find those grammar mistakes when reading too... and I'm sure I've made a ton myself! I also have a couple cousins who are grammar queens, so I'm always editing my texts before (and after) I hit "send"... hahaha!
