Hi everyone! I am Sam M. Smith, a current college student and screenwriter. I'm new on the scene and have won a screenwriting contest with my first screenplay. This was a big boost to keep me working with my passion of writing. I always thought I would end up doing game development, but I have focused more on the story and music behind the games like Nier Automata and Persona 5. I follow a lot of YouTube reviewers and movie analysts, such as Schaffrillas and Filmento.
I love stories with unique takes on existing ideas and redemptive character arcs. And a good chai tea latte.

If I were to recommend anything (and this is just me), I'd recommend laying off the Youtube Reviewers. Often times people rely so much on the opinions of others that they barely form their own opinion. The great thing about Film analysis is piecing it together yourself. It's the critical thinking and philosophizing that makes Film appreciation what it is.
(But that's just my opinion).
