As I am in the early stages of entering a short into festivals, I am always inspired by independent studios and filmmakers, who do not have the same resources of a Pixar/Disney , make competitive poignant shorts. It ain't easy!
Here are a few worth looking at.

Hey Bob Harper I am curious about how you and the team approached entering the festival circuit? Years ago we entered via Without a Box which was decent service.

Toby Cochran We used Film Freeway and have targeted mainly children's film festivals around the world. We definitely entered any with no submission fee and budgeted for a few more that we believe will payoff in press and or prestige. We will be launching a book based on the short (ore vise versa) once we have received notification of our first acceptance. I'll be posting it here!

Are you trying to get into Oscar qualifying festivals too?

Mike Boas There are a couple, but we are focusing on kids festivals, we aren't feeling lofty enough to think this particular short would get an Oscar nod. We are mainly trying to reach a global audience by making it an event driven piece as opposed to another YouTube video that gets lost in the slush.
I have my fingers crossed for you, Bob!
