Creative napalm

Hello, my friends and colleagues! I am interested in one question. Are you writing several scripts at the same time or are you spending time on just one? For example, I set aside a whole day to write two scripts at once.

Maurice Vaughan

I like to work on one feature script and short scripts at once.

Nadir Akhmerov

I prefer to write several full-length scripts at once. I do not know why, I probably have a lot of energy and ideas.

Kevin J. Howard

Right now I'm writing 3 screenplays at the same time, two horror and one coming of age story. It works for me if I devote an hour or so to each screenplay. We all need a machine that writes for us while we sleep, like from Stephen Kings "The Tommyknockers" :)

Nadir Akhmerov

It would be nice if there was a machine that thinks for us and writes for us while we sleep.

Nash Sigmon

Currently I have a full time job working 42 hours a week. So in my free time I try to complete at least 2 pages a day on my screen write. That way I have the time to go back and edit. If there is one thing I have learned from failure is that time management is very important. If you spend too little time on a project, you won’t meet your deadlines and ultimately feel very discouraged. It’s a emotional gunshot, But if you speed too much time on a project in one day, your brain fogs you, which makes your mind tired. Your grammar will get bad, and it will be hard to go back and edit it all the writing you did. In my opinion, take at least 15 - 30 minutes out of your day. Then take a break and edit your grammar mistakes. This is just how I write myself and manage my busy day. It could be different for you however

My writing partner and I usually only do one screenplay at a time. Next up for us is a novel based on a recent TV pilot we created.

Nadir Akhmerov

Nash, I usually write scripts to the end. Only then I start editing.

Nadir Akhmerov

Denise. Maybe someday I'll find a partner. But for now, I'm writing a few scripts alone at a time, and it looks like I'm doing a good job.

Dale Luckwitz

Might not work for others but I always have more than one at a time but mainly focus on completing one. Sometimes when I need a break from those ideas, though I'll go to the other . This way when I finally finish I don't have a blank page waiting for me. Dunno. Works for me. Editing for me is sporadic and ongoing. I take breaks from writing and edit, then edit at the end, then put aside and edit a week later, and then repeat multiple times!

Dan Guardino

I only write one at a time, and sometimes that turned out to be too many. lol!

Daniel Stuelpnagel

I've been writing a couple and outlining another one and polishing another and some short excerpts, but now the front-runner new one I hit page 75 so it's now

full focus on this one until complete,

I have painted about a thousand paintings in twenty years and it's similar, working on dozens at a time in series, a horse race and then when one goes out in the lead that's where the smart money is !!

It's exciting because I scouted locations and developed the concept back in the winter, then outlined this new one back in March, wrote Act I in late April, and have been

working slow and steady and now it's

fun fast and furious so it's that great feeling of finally

KNOWING that it's getting DONE !!! Joyful ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬

Nadir Akhmerov

You're doing great, Daniel.

Craig D Griffiths

I always have a few. They are engaged in a knife in my head for my attention. One will win and I focus on that.

Daniel Stuelpnagel

Nadir Akhmerov I appreciate that so very much >>>> you know it >>> momentum

Pattana Thaivanich

Only one. And that is it! I already have my career/life plan ahead of me not in this industry. But it’s very fun and I’m thrilled to have the experience in screenwriting and film industry.

Mike Romoth

I jot down notes and ideas for different projects, but I only focus on working on one at a time. Rewriting is different. I can rewrite a draft while working on other projects, but I really have to get my head into a very specific world when I write something fresh, and find it's best to immerse myself there with no distractions.
