The last two years since I finished my short film I wrote and directed have been a great challenge. I finished the short in November 2019 and was so excited to submit only to find festivals cancelled in the beginning of the pandemic. Now that every thing is going vitual or hybrid I'm once again excited that "Our Tent" will screen at the San Francisco Short Film Festival. That's our 4th festival but only 2 have pivoted, both virtually.
But as we are at the end of our 18 month journey of submissions. I wonder if there is a life for my little film that could :D. I know there are some film festivals that don' have finish dates.
Can anyone recommend some great festival gems?

Hi Louisa Kendrick Burton! Congratulations on your film being accepted- please keep the momentum going! Are you familiar with FilmFreeway.com? It lists all available film fests and I believe filters them by genre/dates, etc. You can also re-post this in the Screenwriting Lounge and see if anyone can recommend festivals. Best of luck!

I'd go the usual international route high to low (A class, B class, etc) Try some of Oscar qualifying ones as well, as one can never know. Winning any of those makes the movie considerable to run for Academy Awards in short fiction category. Just mind the production date as most festivals usually take submissions of projects on annual basis.
Congratulations
Congratulations on the festival screenings Louisa. I hope they fuel your films momentum.
Congrats on your achievement of completion. Many do not get that far. While I do not know of venues at this time I do wish you well.
Congrats!
