Happy Friday Stage 32 Actors!
Last week, Stage 32 had a webinar "Get Press"
https://www.stage32.com/webinars/How-to-Pitch-Yourself-to-Media-and-Get-... I was wondering if you attended as well? As a former journalist, celebrity studies scholar, and actor, I attended the webinar as I am always excited to elevate the voices and stories of actors, despite the social pressures of fame.
Remember, representation in media does not have to be in famous magazines or TV shows. It includes the equal use of our own social media platforms, where we can connect and support each other.
So, here are a couple of tasks I am doing right now:
* I am in the process of putting together behind-the-scenes shots and developing a trailer for the 48-hour festival film I completed last weekend - as an actor and co-producer, I am always excited to learn from the creative process and share reflections with the audience I engage. All film & acting updates will be coming up on my IG www.instagram.com/samitanandyofficial, where I lead by example.
* Drafting the 81st Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS) newsletter which will also have my Stage 32 announcement and more! To receive a copy from my editorial desk, feel free to join here https://us3.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=8d968a451671b45aa780b5674&id=c0075e3a74
* Hosting a live IG @cmcs_media conversation with pop culture scholar Evie Psarras and fan activist Tamar Salibian on #FreeBritneySpears + our Yahoo! Entertainment media interview on it next Saturday, Sept 25 at 9:30 am PDT at https://www.instagram.com/cmcs_media/ - stay tuned for questions & notes on why & how all artists can stand up for ethical causes e.g., #FreeBritney
That's all for now!
Looking forward to the success of all Stage 32 actors - every voice counts.

I love this so much! I have worked in PR for the last two years and it has been so educational for me! I learned so much about pitching your client and getting the press to paint the story in a way that highlights the good! I think this is so amazing and think everyone should check this out! It's sooooo important that everyone who is a filmmaker knows about this.
Really glad to hear Kristin! My working knowledge of media and public relations definitely helped me to position myself and my fellow film artists in an authentic, ethical, and strategic way. It takes a lot of learning & time to understand the unique artistic and his / her artwork that is beyond simplistic marketing tactics - the end result is rewarding and memorbale
