Introduce Yourself : The Shoe Maker's Kids by Bruce Wawrzyniak

The Shoe Maker's Kids

We've all heard about the shoe maker's kids. Their dad is so busy making shoes for everyone else that they end up with, ironically, footwear that's falling apart. There's a lesson here for all of us.

In my case, as a publicist, I'm always busy garnering opportunities for my clients and their projects. ((exhales)) For once I've carved out a little time to get myself and my company into the spotlight, so to speak. Last week Wednesday (ten days ago) Voyage Tampa ran a feature about me (and thus my company, my weekly podcast, etc.). This past Monday I was interviewed live on Chat and Spin Radio (in the UK). And tonight I'll be the featured guest in a live interview on the "Amazing Original Johnny Blaze Show."

Call it the shoe maker. Call it working in your business versus working on your business. Regardless, take a step back from what you're doing to see what you're not doing and how you can accomplish that so you don't miss out on other potential opportunities that might come your way if you DO follow through on those things that are actually right under your nose. I'm practicing what I preach and can say that you'll be glad that you did.

Great to see you again, @Bruce! What a fantastic reflection and I can totally relate. Oh, wow, congratulations on your interviews - good for you for making your agenda a priority! There's a really great conversation happening in the Producing Lounge right now about increasing the odds of your success, which I think you'd enjoy: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing/Before-you-chase-a-big-dream-le...
