Introduce Yourself Michael I. Goode Stage Fright Consultant SAG-AFTRA and AFI since 2004

Howdy All at Stage 32! I have been a member since 2012. Karen Ross suggested I post here

in the Acting Lounge and I am glad to do so.

I have been teaching at SAG-AFTRA since 2004 and at AFI to actors, producers,

writers, directors, helping people perform under pressure and curing them of

their stage fright when they do their work. I have helped hundreds of people in

the business over the years. I also wrote a book about stage fright in 2003.

I am really glad that you are beginning to address this very important issue in your

posts recently. I even had a major director who used to work for years at MGM

in the old days, but is still working in the business ask me for help with his stage

fright, so it doesn't just happen to actors and writers who may have writers' block

which is the same thing as stage fright only the writing version of it.

We have an exciting business as Karen Ross said in her article, but you have to have down time to

get grounded but you have to know how to do it. That’s one of the other things

I teach actors, writers, directors, producers and others in the business how to

do and I have changed lives and careers doing it. I do private consultations also not just

classes at SAG-AFTRA and AFI. You can be happy and more productive even in the midst

of our crazy yet fun business. I can be reached via email through my website, under the

contact us tab. I get so many texts, that it's best to email me through my website.
