I specialize in safeguarding actors who are representing human suffering & distress in performance. My background is directing (16 yrs) and before that I was an actor. I've spent the last 5 years training in psychotherapy at accredited schools in the UK and I have integrated specific techniques into a new approach to help actors increase their resiliency, build stronger boundaries between themselves and their characters, remove emotional blocks and embody their character's emotional life in a safe and ethical way.
I started with 1-1 work with a small group of professional actors working with monologues. I am now working with actors involved in productions. Please get in touch if you're an actor currently involved in a production and looking for preventative measures to safeguard your mental well being. I can discuss the process in detail in a free, no obligation 1-1 consultation.
I am also running an Actors Group that meets every two weeks. It's a creative AND self-reflective space designed for you to grow as an artist. It's currently being offered on a sliding fee scale, i.e. the fee is dependent on your income. Please get in touch for further details.
Sent you an add, sounds very interesting!
