Interestingly, the biggest takeaways are identical to what one could say about Indian or US Films —

Guillermo's and Diego's “diversity within diversity” insights,

Diego, “content has to be on an award-winning level,” and

David, (paraphrasing) “micro-segmentation may imply access, it may not imply business.”

Thanks, great discussion!

Julio Vallejo

Thanks for this panel!! there is so much to talk about, specially during this month...

Great guests! No doubt very talented. Nevertheless I would like too bring up that all of these talented individuals are white Latinxs, no indigenous or afro-Latinos. Please address this issue, is very important since racism is more presalent in Latin American countries than in the US. Is not the same Diego Luna than Yalitza Aparicio. Thanks.

Maybe even do a panel just focused on racial diversity and representation within the Latinx community, content and market in the US.

Very good talk and debate! Thank so much!!

Hi, there were lots of golden nuggets and takeaways but one good tip was to get an attorney because almost always you may get someone trying to "pull a fast one" as it is a cut-throat industry.

Thanks Stage 32 one more time!! The panel was extraordinarily motivating and there is so much to do for the Latinx film & TV industry in Hollywood. It's our chance to do it!

What did y'all think about the idea for limited series being a good foothold for unique content to greenlight?

Great panel!! Thank you!!

Karen "Kay" Ross I returned to this thread to see if anyone shared more, re limited series idea. To me,.LS market seems a consequence of streaming subscription models, (and possibly an inevitable proportion shift?) Definitely means availability of longer format to develop an idea, albeit what more does that offer for *unique content* as an advantage to storytelling beyond a larger market?

Luis Andres Saldias

That was a great panel full of important information. I have a few questions about finding representation or a literacy manager in Latin America. I have done a lot of research and it seems that there are very few or none representatives that sign writers in Latin America.

Hello! I wanna share a kickstarter reflection and read all your thoughts.

I've been thinking about the content expectations with latinx writers, or what I think it's expected at least.

For what I remember from the panel, everyone talked about or shared their strictly latinx heritage stories they're writing. The thing is, and it was a question I had that I didn't ask -

What if I don't wanna tell a latinx story? And don't get me wrong, please, I LOVE those, I love well written latinx characters in mainstream tv, they're so relatable.

But I'm also more than my heritage and the stories I want to tell, I think, can talk about that as a theme without having to be about a latinx in America. Like being an outsider is such a universal theme...

And yet I don't see many latinx creators out there with content that's not specifically latinx.

Do you guys think it has to do with what creators want to tell themselves or is there a certain expectation that if you're latinx then your story has to be or will most likely be about latinx characters and conflicts?

Would looove to read some thoughts :)

Thank you Karen "Kay" Ross for this invitation. I do believe there is a need for opportunities in Latin American Market for Spanish-speaking creatives outside of the same circles, there are a lot of great ideas and talents going around looking for someone to listen or read what they have written.
