I think Stage32 is great. I’m happy with every service I’ve used, every webinar I’ve purchased. But - like a lot of folks - I get a lot of emails telling me about other great offerings. I am proposing that it would be great if Stage32 enabled me (everyone) to define a profile and ONLY send pertinent email notices. For example, I am not an actor and never will be, so I don’t need to hear about webinars for actors. I’m currently writing features and I don’t need to hear about TV pilot stuff. If that changes, I could click a box and update my profile.
Some days I get eight or more emails from Stage32. It’s not terrible but if tailored better I would more motivated to read them instantly (okay, when my writing clock expires).
Yes it would be nice. That's one of the reasons I don't participate in any of the Private Lounges and only a couple of the public forums. I know that the folks that run S32 need to earn a living and I applaud them for making such forums available for the education of learners but I don't see it as a captive audience for $ mining. I seem to remember that there is somewhere a way to limit the email flurry - I think I did it a long time ago.
