This week I was interviewed about podcasting on an Expert LIVE Show put on by an organization that educates social media managers. I was happy that the facilitator gave me great feedback, albeit verbally, when we finished. Also this week I was on video conferences with two separate coaching clients relative to helping them with their podcasts. One of them put out her newest episode and gave me a shout out for the work that I've been doing with her.
While we all love getting a pat on the back, it's important to recognize these are opportunities to secure a testimonial that can be used elsewhere to show people -- just like using Introduce Yourself Weekend here on Stage 32 -- what we do (or, part of what we do).
Rest assured I've not only put up social media posts thanking this client for the kind words about the coaching I've been doing with her, but, I'm also going to capture that audio for myself so I can use it in other places to complement my own promotional efforts. In other words, "Don't just take my word on it." In fact, one of the others that I've been working with has agreed to let me use his name in a story I'll write for the home page of my company website, AND he's going to give me a written testimonial too.
I hope that helps you. We all get so busy and are sometimes too close to our own work to recognize, "Hey, that's nice to hear, but it's also something I need to repurpose going forward." ((wink))

Always great to see you, Bruce Wawrzyniak! Oh, cool, that's fantastic! And totally agreed - testimonials are the best.
Yaayy ... Happy Holidays, Karen "Kay" Ross !
