I wrote this blog based on my experience right now of being at the pointy end of post on a feature. There's being accurate and excellent - then there's perfectionism.
What are some other techniques and processes do you use that could help screenwriters and filmmakers move beyond perfectionism?

Getting things done. If there's no execution, preparation only will "kill" them eventually as their desire for the craft...
Agreed Kiril. Prep is important and necessary. Addiction to prep is something else.

Ooo, Renée Brack, PREACH! I plan like a MoFo, but I can easily spend all of my energy making the plan and saving none for executing it. Fantastic blog - thank you so much for sharing!

Having worked post-production, I was blessed to work on hours of raw dailies of Oscar features, Emmy tv shows and sat in editing sessions with famous filmmakers, and the majority are just confused, imposter syndrome, worried their careers will end with one bad project... yet they push on and finish, pray their instincts and artistry win over audiences & critics.
That's a lovely, kind way of revealing the true feelings that can underpin the most successful people and the feelings / fears anyone at any professional level can experience.

Thank you Karen "Kay" Ross for your idea for me to write about this - your encouragement motivated me to write the blog - then more encouragement from you got me to post it here. I'm incredibly grateful. I pitched another blog idea and it's been accepted. Stay tuned.
