Have you put together a pitch for your film as well? I would highly recommend using Stage 32's free Pitching Guidebook to help you structure your pitch, whether it is a 2-page pitch document, a 5-minute verbal pitch, or a 15-30page pitch deck: https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/themes/two/pdfs/happy-writers/Stage_32_Pitching_Guidebook.pdf

If you have a pitch, you can sign up for a Pitch Session with an executive of your choosing here: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions If you want any recommendations, definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or agents, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com

You also have enough material to create a trailer, which would be easier for distributors to review (much like producers, they don't have time to review your entire project, so you have to make something shorter to entice them to want to watch more). If you have a trailer, I would suggest doing a Reel Review with a Stage 32 Executive, which both gives you feedback on your trailer before you take it to a marketplace (like AFM), but also allows an executive active in the industry a chance to see it and consider it for their company: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=71

I hope that helps, and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi Kay, the link you provided to the pitching guide book is cold, it doesn't work. Can you check again please? Thanks

Kwame Agyapong - the link works fine, it just wasn't hyperlinked. Copying and pasting still works: https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/themes/two/pdfs/happy-writers/...

Thanks Kay, it's working. I don't know why it was bluffing. Cheers

A good step will be to find similar titles on IMDb and look up the company details to see how they were distributed. Looking for more recent titles will be most helpful and give you ideas on who to reach out to.

I think you should create a short list of what you want to do with your film (do you want to make money, get noticed, impress possible investors for your next project, etc.) and what you realisiticlaly expect to get from a distribution deal. If let's say you get interest from a distributor they will most likely not put any marketing $$$ into your film and your title could be lost amount so many films on whatever platform so maybe you might want to self distribute on your monetized YouTube channel and Vimeo channel to gain awareness of your filmmaking abilities.

You'll need a poster, a trailer, website and you can gain some sort of following on social media if you market the film right (target your audience). You may also want to consider breaking up the film into a series so each episode could be let's say 10 minutes or whatever - just a thought.

Personally I'd change the title since it's too close to Lost in Translation and I'm not sure it serves you if people automatically compare your film with that one.

Congratulations on your film by the way!!
