Screenwriting : Cheers from New York by Dallas Maddox

Dallas Maddox

Cheers from New York

Hello - brand new here. A hobbyist looking for more, I've written for years, but never for screen or professionally. I just finished a feature length screenplay, which I'm sure is garbage, but I'm excited to begin hunting and learning about the first steps.

Amanda Michel

Welcome. Do you have a logline?

Maurice Vaughan

Welcome to the community, Dallas Maddox. Congrats on finishing your screenplay. Now to turn it into treasure (rewrites)!

Billy Kwack

Hi Dallas, ever visit queens?

Craig D Griffiths

David Mailman

Welcome. I'm also beginning the journey.

Phil Clarke

Hi there, Dallas. Wishing you all the very best as you turn the hobby into a career. If you ever want to discuss your work or the craft, by all means message me.

Thank you, all! Wow, feels amazing to be greeted by fellow writers. As I review each of your profiles, I'm even more flattered! I'm working on a snappy logline, will post in just a sec!

@Jon Shallit - Thank you for reaching out and more importantly for your excellent advice and help on my first couple pages. Really helped point me in the right direction. It is no secret, I'm sure we all can tell a great tale...but writing and formatting for screenplay is an art form!
