Introduce Yourself : Consider this my Sequel by Michael Elliott

Michael Elliott

Consider this my Sequel

Been on Stage 32 since February. I haven't done much networking because I'm a private, non-sharing, self involved individual. At least with people I don't know. I'm working on all that, honestly. My family would describe me in the same way Captain Marco (Frank Sinatra) described Raymond Shaw (Laurence Harvey) having been brain-washed in The Manchurian Candidate...I'm the warmest, kindest, bravest person they've ever known. That being said, I'm making good progress with my script "Nobody's Heroes". It a 2x Look Book selection. That exposure led to it being requested by an agent at Lit Entertainment Group. Still waiting to hear. On Coverfly it's in the Top 5% of all scripts and #8 on their Red List "Action" features. It's a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Feature Competition 2022. Hoping to make to the Semis. Also placed in the Santa Barbara International Screenwriting Competition (Quarterfinals) and the Wiki Screenwriting Competition (Quarterfinals). Had a great conversation with Chris Bellerart (sic). He was enthusiastic about NH and when he asked what else I had, I pitched him "In Self Defense?" a murder/crime mystery. He asked for it. I sent it. Waiting. Working now on "Therapy Sessions" a female-lead thriller. It involves a third-year medical resident whose career goal in clinical psychotherapy. She's on rotation in the hospital's "Sexual Behavior Clinic" when she starts therapy with a confessed pedophile. As she digs into his background she begins to suspect that he is the person who kidnapped and murdered her younger sister 12 years. Worse, it slowly becomes apparent their meeting is no coincidence. That's all for now.

Hi Michael, We are glad that you took the time to step out into the light and introduce yourself to the community. A lot of people in our community are introverts and private, so I think it’s great that you opened up and introduce yourself! It sounds like your creative writing career is really taking off. Congratulations on all the great placements!

Gentian Gjikopulli

I’m definitely intrigued by your pitch of “Therapy sessions.”

Michael Elliott

"Therapy Sessions" is in early outline form. I keep thinking I should leapfrog over finishing "In Self Defense?" and go to that next. But I'm only 50 pages from finishing the newest draft so I'm going to stick with that for now. In that way I'm like Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) in "The Accountant". The inability to finish a task leads to mental and emotional instability.

Gentian Gjikopulli

Well Michael, I think that if the outline structure is ready all the rest falls into place, no matter when. Maybe it’s even better to postpone something, so when you’re back, you spot easily its problems with fresh eyes. At least, this method works for me. I would be curious to read it when finished.

Allen Lynch

Welcome Michael. Therapy Sessions' outline already has me interested in the outcome. Good luck with it & your other endeavors.

Michael Elliott

Gentian: sure, you can read it whenever it's done.

Gentian Gjikopulli

Thanks for your trust Michael. I appreciate it.

Matthew Parvin

Welcome back, Michael! Nice to meet you. Glad you're here. 'Therapy Sessions" sounds cool!

Michael Elliott

Matthew: thanks. Hope the final product is as cool at the concept.

Maurice Vaughan

Great to talk with you again, Michael Elliott. Glad to hear "Nobody's Heroes" is making good progress. All three of your scripts sound amazing!

Richard "RB" Botto

Hopeful the response here will get you to contribute more, Michael. As I like to say, when it comes to finding success in the entertainment industry, nothing good happens in the shadows.
