Introduce Yourself : Welcome -- and I love Stage 32 by Tom Stohlgren

Welcome -- and I love Stage 32

Hi all. I'm an avid screenwriter with 67 feature scrips and 11 TV pilots (and bibles) now, many with female and minority leads. I know that fewer than 35% of leads in today's movies are female and minorities-- but it's the right thing to do to provide more role models for the next generation. I'd appreciate any comments and ratings you leave on my loglines page. That's how I learn. My first produced script, Twisted Vines" has won a "Best Feature Film" award and I'm hopeful my others will. I'm represented by Eleni Larchanidou and we're anxious to work with more producers and production companies, so let's get connected. Special Thanks!

Shellie Schmals

Hi Tom - So nice to meet you! I'm Shellie Schmals, Director of Community, and thrilled to hear that you are putting more focus on marginalized communities in your screenwriting. Reading through your loglines - I'm really interested in the Crypto Club premise, talk about something that's in the Zeitgeist, I think there's something fresh about the concept and by virtue of it's premise, you would be need to collaborate with the next generation. Have you browsed our members section to connect with potential collaborators >> https://www.stage32.com/people

Good luck and keep us posted!

Karen "Kay" Ross

Always good to see you, Tom Stohlgren! I second that, Shellie - I love your initiative to put more women and minorities front and center. How have you been? What are you working on?

Tom Stohlgren

Thanks Shellie Schmals and Karen "Kay" Ross, Great suggestion. I recently completed a version of "Crypto Club" TV series (pilot and bible) set in Athens, along with a two versions of Agatha Christie type crime-murder feature film or TV series titled "A Motive to Die For" set on the small Greek island of Samothrace. The Greek projects have been submitted to a Greek television production company by my manager who lives in Athens. I'm working on a sci-fi horror script at present. I'm always writing something. ha! I love it!
