Introduce Yourself : Esoteric Horror by Johnny Brocco

Johnny Brocco

Esoteric Horror

Hello everyone, I’m an unknown screenwriter from Ct. My subject matter is what I would call Esoteric Occult Horror. Classical horror tropes blended with modern alchemic mysticism. Imagine, mother-goose for demons, angels, hermits and sorcerers alike. I have an anthology series I’ve been working on for a few years and plan to produce independently eventually, as well as a film I feel is personally my destiny to sell to the exact right production company suited to its style and production. Im also working on a self published book of esoteric poetry that features poems from multiple other esoteric writers as well as myself. If any of these projects interest feel free to drop me a message :) I’m as friendly as I am scary ;)

Hi Johnny Brocco! Nice to meet you! Your anthology series sounds really cool. Have you put a pitch deck together for it? Or are you going fully self-funded for it?

Shellie Schmals

Hi Johnny Brocco - excited to follow all of this! You also nailed my favorite fashion aesthetic "mother goose for demons" :)

Hi Johnny, it's nice to meet you! Make sure to check out the Screenwriting lounge and perhaps the Writers' Room as well. Make those connections and you'll keep getting closer to finding that exact right production company.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the support, I look forward to what this year holds for us all!:) 2023 is a good number, it adds up to 7. No pitch deck yet for the anthology, eventually. My film titled “The Goat In The Chapel” however has a full color fifteen page pitch deck and completed polished spec script. I’ve sent my logline around to a number of producers who fit the bill … waiting to hear back still and still searching meanwhile of course.

Hi Johnny! Nice to meet you. What an incredible concept! I love the spin on mother goose for demons. I suggest meeting with Karina Wilson or Jonathan Batman about these, and they can help you develop a strategy to connect with production companies. Feel free to write me at success@stage32.com amd I’ll send you the links!

Hi Johnny - I love the sound of esoteric occult horror. Super cool. I’m the Director of Education here at Stage 32. If I can ever recommend any of our education or be of any service on your Stage 32 journey please email me directly at edu@stage32.com. We have some great horror education coming up if that’s of interest.

I def love this idea & definition, looking forward to read more about your projects

"Mother Goose for Demons" should definitely be the title of an anthology series. Or a death metal band.
