Great share Richard "RB" Botto. The alarming thing is that people would even think to put this in contracts surrendering AI rights for an actor. Interested to see how AI develops with the acting space.

WGA was smart enough to include this as a topic in their upcoming negotiations with the AMPTP as well.

The AI technology that is being developed in all creative spaces is generating a lot of interesting conversation, but also a lot of legitimate concern. It's great that the WGA is being mindful of all the ways that it could be utilized moving forward and putting protections into place now.

My favorite part of the article- “Human creators are the foundation of the creative industries and we must ensure that they are respected and paid for their work,” SAG-AFTRA says. “Governments should not create new copyright or other intellectual property exemptions that allow artificial intelligence developers to exploit creative works, or professional voices and likenesses, without permission or compensation. Trustworthiness and transparency are essential to the success of AI."
