Writing over 50 and keeping the faith

Speaking as someone who just had a birthday, this story of "just keep on keepin' on" was a needed morale booster ...

I got my first paid writing gig at 43, so it does happen...but doesn't mean I started at 42...means I wrote my first script at some 20-21...so if ure late starter, better lead the healthy life :)

This is an inspiring post. Thanks, Samuel. My mom published her first book at 86 years old (to very positive reviews). Never stop and always believe!

Age is a construct, period. A few people close to me made me realize that.

Thank you for the great story, Samuel. You are top-notch as always. I admire such people who have writing talent. I appreciate services that help young people with their homework, especially when it comes to academic savings. Studying at the university was difficult for me, as I combine my studies with work. This often made it difficult for me to do my homework, especially when it comes to writing essays. But everything changed when I found a great online service - payforessay.net can write my essay for me and where you can order ready-made writing at an affordable price and of any complexity. This gave me more time to focus on hands-on experience, which I think is critical.

DAvid Rorie

wrote my first screenplay at 54.

Those of us who are 50+ have much deeper, more nuanced stories to tell based on life experience. When I took screenwriting courses in college, I had nothing to say and didn't really understand people. Now, I've got a deep understanding of what drives people (and characters) to do what they do. I'm also at an age where it's been easier to make connections with people, so my network has grown tremendously. I'm gonna keep plowing through and hope I can make something of my writing in whatever time I have left.
