Hi, I'm a new screenwriter based in Dorset, England. I've written two feature films and would love to get them made. I would also like to direct the films too. I'm looking to make connections with producers and maybe get one of my scripts solicited, or even better picked up to be made.

Welcome. If you have a smartphone you can demo your material in a lo-fi web series. If you can build an audience with it, your chances of getting a feature made will skyrocket.

Welcome! I would definitely check out Maurice's link to the blog about navigating Stage 32. Additionally, if you're a writers' room member (or want to sign up), you can submit your scripts to Open Writing Assignments where producers are looking for specific types of projects. If you have something that fits what they are looking for and it stands out, you could end up being read by a producer!

You should definitely check out the Screenwriting Lounge where you can join discussions with other writers, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you. It's a great way to connect with people from all around the world!
You can find the lounge through the toolbar at the top of your browser window. Simply click on "Lounge", which will direct you to a new page listing all of the current lounges available to you. Then select "Screenwriting". I hope to see you over there!
I also recommend that you add a profile picture of yourself. If you don’t have a photo on your account, you won’t show up in search results and people won’t be able to see your work. It's always easier to connect with people when they can put a face to a name. It adds a personal touch that can be so important online.
