Mine was when I did the "animal studes' module in my training. I literally how to be a beaver and a donkey and then transferred that physicality into the character I was playing. I think one film that inspired me was BAD TASTE by Peter Jackson. He did virtually everything with little to no resourses in an area that wasn't full of film connections and it launched his career.
One film I find abosutely beautfil is THREE COLORS RED. The acting, cinematography, sound...everything. It's poetry.

Hi, Alexandra Stevens. Animal work in acting sounds interesting. Daniel Calvisi's book "Story Maps: How to Write a Great Screenplay" reshaped my approach to screenwriting. One of the things it did was challenge me to get better at screenplay structure. I haven't read the book in a long time, but I still use some of the story beats from his book when I outline scripts.

Stephen Folker I just read up on Peter Jackson's way of making BAD TASTE. I can see how he inspires you as seem to be very good at doing a lot of it all yourself as well.

Geoff Hall now that is an awesome animal to emanate. I'm sure you can channel some leopard qualities in your quest to get funding for your film.
