Hi everyone, I just joined Stage 32 and this is my first introduction post.
I’m Staffan von Zeipel, a Swedish screenwriter focused on psychological thrillers and high-concept sci-fi.
My debut feature script, Final Reunion (Sista Återträffen), is a contained survival thriller set on a remote island in the Stockholm archipelago.
I’m also developing international projects like The Nevada Battle (a real-time sci-fi thriller) and 60 Minutes (a first-contact drama).
I’m here to connect with producers, directors, and fellow writers, exchange experiences, and hopefully find the right partners for these projects.
Looking forward to meeting you all and learning more about your journeys!

Hi Staffan, good to meet you. There's been some stunning cinematic work from the Scandinavian countries of late, notably, I find, through Amazon, where I am in the UK. I'm not a script writer, but I've a particular interest in work from Scandinavian composers (as a composer for film myself), who always seem to have a fresh approach to scoring remarkable cinematography. Where can I see your work?

Hi Justin & Jacob!
Nice of you to drop by, and post on my wall :-)
To begin, what got me into screenwriting. Always loved movies. And I had a dream, beeing in a military drill in the Nevada dessert. A bit into the drill, all electronic went dead, and we were attacked by Aliens. But just before waking up, it was a true turn in the plot that really surprised me. So wrote down 3 pages from the dream, before waking up entirely. Thought it might be a good movie, so took fridays off for one year and wrote The Nevada Battle.
Last Reunion has been in my backhead since than, and it is now complete (if you ever can say that...).
Justin, you can find more of my work at may page https://zeipels.com/
Nice to hear from you :-)

Fascinating work Staffan. I especially like "60 Minutes". Lots of musical potential there!

I write high-concept Sci-Fi too. Final Reunion, The Nevada Battle, and 60 Minutes sound interesting! How was it writing a real-time script?

Thank you very much, Maurice, for all the valuable tips – truly appreciated.
There’s still quite a lot left to develop on 60 Minutes. The first hour will not be in real-time, while the last 60 minutes are structured to unfold in real-time. It’s a complex challenge, with many details to consider and plan carefully – but the goal is to make it both precise in structure and truly engaging for the audience.
You're welcome, Staffan Von Zeipel. I like that! Sounds interesting and challenging! I've been thinking about writing a real-time feature script. I might start with a short script for practice.

I think that is very wise, to start with a short script. I might paus 60 minutes and do that myself :-)
I might start outlining my short this week, Staffan Von Zeipel. Keep us posted on your script.

Thanks, I will. But it will probably take awhile since I am rewriting The Nevada Battle first...
You're welcome, Staffan Von Zeipel. No problem. I'm working on some projects, so even if I outline the real-time short script this week, I probably won't get to writing the script for a while.

Hi Staffan, your focus on psychological thrillers and high concept sci-fi sounds really exciting! Final reunion on a remote island already feels so cinematic. I mostly write romantic tragedies and emotional dramas - it's always inspiring to see writers exploring different genres. How did you get the idea for Final Reunion?
