Who Wants To Play? Loglines & Titles READY, SET, GO!

Here we go: If a whole movie was based solely on this photo and a logline you wrote, what would the movie be like? Write a Logling & Title. What would be the major themes/plot points be? Why?

I had Strep followed by moving my actress daughter cross-country to be nearer her gigs, so I've been gone for while and now I want to just rest and have some fun with my friends here. Let's see how creative we can be and get those creative juices flowing with this AI image I found.

Libby Wright

I'll Start! TITLE: Not So Cozy Cabin THEME: Cozy Mystery/Adventure. LOGLINE: When two washed-up middle aged cozy mystery authors rent a cabin to collaborate on a novel they hope can salvage their careers, they begin to suspect the cabin is more than it appears as everything they write comes true in a twisted way, soon their focus shifts from resurrecting their writing to just getting out alive.

Elle Bolan

Oh I'll play!

Title: Extinguish

Theme: Appalachian body horror

Logline: When Opal and Tate Waters move into their new home in the Appalachian foothills, they couldn't be happier. As Fall turns to Winter, they grow to love their fireplace - but Spring comes and no matter what they do, they cannot extinguish the flames. The heat of summer descends and the sweltering couple must choose: frantically search for a way to put the fire out, learn to love living outside... Or roast alive in their own home.

Just for giggles and grins.

"Who Wants To Play?" What's the prize, Libby Wright? :D I ran the image through AI image detectors, and they said the image is real, so I'll play.

Title: Cabin/Come Out with Your Hands Up/Another title

Mystery Comedy Thriller

Logline: During a cabin getaway, an untrusting couple must trust each other to solve a murder mystery and clear their names before the feds get inside.

The theme is about trusting your partner, and the plot points would move the couple closer to trusting each other or make them not trust each other more.

Libby Wright

Love this Elle Bolan. Sounds like a really fun concept!

Libby Wright

Great logline @Mauirce!! I'd watch that!

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Libby Wright. I want to write the script or one like it. Thanks for the exercise!

Elle Bolan

@Libby thanks for the exercise and practice!

Libby Wright

Maurice Vaughan what if it was set in the autumn and it was called Trust Fall?

Maurice Vaughan

I like that, Libby Wright! The title could have a double or triple meaning.

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Title: The Story Cabin

Theme: Anthology of spoken word stories

Demographic: all ages/family

Logline: Throwing back to story circles of our youth, a grandma and grandpa tell us stories around a cozy fire.

It's simple but that's what I think of with this image lol. Think of all the stories you can tell in such a cozy room!

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Thanks Libby Wright! Maybe there will even be recipes for hot chocolate and stuff :D

Lori Jones

The title would be: The Living Room. Logline. In 1970, a young couple disappear from their mountain cabin, only to reappear 50 years later at the same age.

Sean Rodman

Title: Wreck The Halls

Logline: When a small town Vermont syrup famer visits the big city for the first time, she unexpectedly falls for a handsome hedge fund manager and learns that love, a little holiday magic, and a 60th floor penthouse are the keys to melting her frozen heart.

Libby Wright

Sounds like such an interesting plot line Lori Jones!

Libby Wright

Abram Christian

Libby Wright

YES!!! E Langley !

Libby Wright

Abram Christian Wow- provacative and really great dramatic story setup

Mark Simmons

Destination Bear Valley.

Trevor and Heather Ferguson, were excited to spend a month with their Grandparents at the cabin in Bear Valley. little did they realize that their time at the cabin would become the biggest adventure of their lives!

Libby Wright

Love this idea Mark Simmons! Are Trevor & Heather kids? What would the genere be?

Mark Simmons

Yes they are Teenagers, the genera would be faith based/family friendly. The brother and sister would partake, with friends, in a wilderness adventure that they stumble on in an old book at the local bookstore, they would find an underground cave system where the find challenges and treasure along with a few biblical items maybe a scroll or two.

I’m not sure this is off the cuff but it would be kind of like the goonies.

Mario Riportella

Love On The Weekend-

Mysterious events and danger lurk around every corner as every clue found leads to more questions. In a race against time, Mark must exhaust all resources in order to find his girlfriend before it's too late.

-The fireplace and candles suggest she was recently there

-he';ll find blood

-a strange voicemail

-in his quest, he'll encounter dangerous wildlife, high elevation, a suspicious woodsman

Theme: How far we'll go to protect those we love

Debbie Croysdale
