War veteran returns home to find out her identity has been taken over by some else and that the town's people like the imposter more than her. If you can do something with that, go for it. Don't even have to thank me. I have plenty more where that came from. My point being that ideas are a dime a dozen but making a good script out of them takes time, toil and talent. Good scripts are hard to come by and even harder to produce. Maybe I woke up in a cranky mood. I'm old, I'm entitled.

That is a good one. And it could go so many ways. At first, I saw it as a comedy. But it might make an excellent thriller as well--particularly if the doppelganger has a wicked intent. That could make it a supernatural flick also. Or maybe a romantic comedy in which the vet's romantic interest eventually rejects the imposter. That, IMHO, proves the point that the idea is important but anyone can come up with a good one. It's the implementation of that spark into a full-blown conflagration that counts.

Thanks Curt but right now I have too many irons in the fire. I’ll probably be meeting my brothers in Valhalla before I get around to writing a new script but in the meantime I’ll help anyone I can move up the food chain.
what if the girl was imaging all of this and it was all inside her head because a bomb during has damaged her memory and she believes she is this woman, but in fact the person who she thinks she is in fact another veteran who she meet in the hospital...? It sounds complicated but if anybody understands what i mean is the idea worth perusing? Thanks for the idea Mike!
