Cinematography : Personally. I can't wait for HFR by Stephen Inniss

Personally. I can't wait for HFR

I find the controversy around "The Hobbit" being shot at 48 fps interesting since (i) people seem to dig that awful motion-estimated pulldown-exacerbating 120 Hz mode on TVs, (ii) since the adoption of HD production a lot of TV shows seem to have gone to 24/25/30 fps capture and its associated motion blur and judder, so you can't really call it part of the "film look" (not that you ever really could). I haven't seen any of the new stuff in HFR but I will definitely be seeing "The Hobbit" in HFR, in 3D - yes, I like that too - and I can't wait until more movies go that route. What does everyone else think?
