Your Stage : Scream Machine DVD by Jacob O'Neal

Hello everyone, Frustrated with trying to find a way to get our first feature started my co-writer and I decided to write a few shorts and get them done to showcase our talents. Shortly after we wrote our first short film, Lepus, we showed it to a friend with a decent camera and some experience. He loved the script and said he could help us shoot it. Then he offered us an opportunity we couldn't pass up. He said that Walter Reuther (better known as horror host Scarlet Fry) was putting together an anthology DVD and needed a fifteen minute short to finish up the movie. He asked us to be a part of it. This was all before we had even cast or shot a piece of it. That was a little daunting but a challenge I was excited about. Later we found our lead actor right here on stage32.com, got the rest of the cast together and shot the movie in early November. Since then it has been edited and scored. It came out really well for being rather ambitious for not having a budget. Now we have a DVD release date set for sometime in May, 2013 and a World premiere at Phoenix Comicon the same month. All of this happened so fast. Most people don't get brakes like this when they first start out. We got very lucky. Now we're about to start shooting our next short film in less than a month.
