OK, so we're all trying to get the word out - but how ? We're doing a lot with photographers for fashion shoots, have the cheeky press release down pat but does anyone else have a hint they'd like to share ? We're happy to help and post opportunities/events we can't do but someone else might be interested in. Do you do rental ? Custom work for productions ? Are for-the-love projects really worth it ? Looking forward to hearing other folks' thoughts on being in the business :)

I do a lot of work through referrals and never mind doing For-the-Love projects with people I've worked with before that I enjoy. I love networking and meeting new crews and am happy to Costume in any capacity whether it be rental or custom or shopping I enjoy it all :)
Hi Ambre :) Thanks for chipping in, nice to meet you. Lovely to hear such enthusiasm too. We've done a lot of shoots where everyone is looking to build their portfolio so we all contribute in exchange for use of the images. It's a great way of building a network too. How do you find out about those kinds of projects ? In our case, it's always photographers/ film makers coming to us.
