My name is Luis Füguemann and I want to be a Producer. I started working as a Producer for the Mexican Tourism Board. Specifically I was in charge of supervising the production of all those promotional materials inviting people to come and visit Mexico, which includes campaigns from 2007 through 2010. I was there when that terrible time of the “swine flu” almost killed the touristic industry. On the whole, it was fun; I’m proud of that work and absolutely grateful with all the team I worked with, including everyone at IFS Studios México. But since it was kind of a government job, there was nothing more to do in order to grow professionally. Here’s a link (Director Willy Sousa, IFS Studios) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOxTxxF-9_g I decided to leave and I started working on a small and independent production company Called L-Mento Entertainment. I was there for two years. Proudly, I had on may 2013 my first aired TV show!!! It is called N2Ruedas (on two wheels) and it is a 30 minutes weekly show about motorcycles. 11 episodes were made for national TV (Mexico of course). If you want to take a look, It’s in Spanish… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FageVPjU0rY For two years there, I got the chance to produce a few small videos, including pilots and demos for not aired TV shows (testing materials) and a few corporation materials including Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA, Latin America Campaign), SONY Entertainment Television – Latin America, and a 13 episodes documentary about bull fighting (canned and not aired yet). 2014 - I was invited to be Production Coordinator for the Mexican Version of "Food Fighters". My biggest proyect so far, what an amazing adventure. Big Premiere october 26! The industry in Mexico is not exactly what you’d call an industry and although I’d like to work on movies, there is not a wide range of options on where to work. With less than 15 commercial releases a year, always depending on government funding, the business is always about the same people. My goal is to work in the US, but I’m kind of lost here about how to get that race started (any suggestion would be great). In the meanwhile, searching for more opportunities in México.
