MAXIMA VISION FILMS is now accepting original feature film scripts

MAXIMA VISION FILMS is now accepting original feature film scripts and scripts for television projects for consideration in our production company producing them. We have two major investment groups, one of which has already committed to funding four feature films or television productions each year for the next five years. At present we have only three of these four slots slated for production this year, leaving one slot that you the writer may have your dreams come true by having your story unfold on the big screen. Also accepting applications for non-pay internships to study under the direction of our Senior writer and script doctor, Dr. Randall Maxwell. For these internships youo must have completed work that you have done that you may submit as an example of your work along with your most current resume. For either you may check out our site at www.maximavisionsproductions.com or call our production company in Virginia at (757) 636-8163.

What genre of screenplays are you looking for and, if you are interested in selecting one for production, does the writer have the option of also directing the project (provided they are an experienced director, of course)?

Dr. Randall Maxwell

Genre is not so important. However, my major investment group seeks stories that at least have some sort of a redemptive message. We basically shoot two types of films; One, very preacchy, on the nose, marketed directly to the Christian market. The second, which I like much more, a story that at least gives a hurting world a sparkel of hope, leaving the audience with at least a subliminal message of hope and redemption. As far as your question about "does the writer have the option of also directing." This is always something that may be negotiated, but unless the writer is already known, chances are, any investment group will require me and my company to attach an established director to the deal. However, like I said, in negotiations, we simply pitch your story to our investment groups, if we take on your story in the first place, they then counter any offer we propose. We then come back to you with their proposal, then you can decide whether or not you want the deal. I personally, if I were an unknown writer and an investment group told me they will put "X" number of dollars behind one of my scripts to get it to screen, I would certainly take it before I just let my vision collect dust and never see the light of day. At least then you are becoming recognized in the industry. With all of that said, you may very well be already recognized in the industry as a seasoned professional director. If that is the case, I am sure the negotiations will be in your favor as far as you directing your project. I hope this has answered your questions.

2 Faces of Mason....Dramedy Series.....Is a character-driven dramedy about two women whose childhoods were totally different but they both had the same father named Lawrence… Afraid it would cause interference with his marriage and his perfect life he never wanted to tell his wife about a love child. Years later after their father’s death a family member (Aunt Lorraine) reveals to her niece (Lena) that she has a successful sister named (Jackie) who lives in California. Jackie was never told that she has a sister. Lena never had a real relationship with her father but sets out to find out about this sister with Aunt Lorraine stirring up all the drama.

Also, I have an idea for a Reality Series.... The idea is to shoot it in Kansas City... A very close friend of mine is suffering from a disease called Chairi Malformation. His everyday life has changed, and I want to be there for him... We have known each other for 28 years. After my divorce, we were in a relationship and fell in love back in 1985. He would drive from Kansas City to Cincinnati every chance he got. Unfortunately, as time passed we began to grow apart. I had two young children and he had a dream to become the next Clive Davis. We communicated back and forth all those years. He did become a record producer who worked with artists such as Janet Jackson, Boys II Men and many others.. During his rise to fame he got married and fathered two children. Now, we are both divorced. He didn't want to tell me over the phone about his disability. All I knew was that he was in a wheelchair. I decided to take a trip over Father's Day weekend in June. God instructed me to see both my Dad and Lance. So, I arranged my trip to Cincinnati and Kansas City. I still love him very much. I live in California and he lives in Kansas City.... I want to show the world that it doesn't matter when the person you love has a disability... God will make a way.... Dee Kelly Barrett

You sound as though you have some great ideas. Do you have these in script format now? Anyway, you may want to call me at our production offices in Virginia to discuss in detail at (757) 636-8163. Today is Saturday the 27th and I am really busy at present making arrangements to open up production offices and a academy of cinema/television in Nashville Tennessee over the next few months, so probably better to contact me by phone towards the first of the week, afternoons are generally better.

Hey Steven, WIll love to see the report. My company has two major investment groups, one of which has already committed to funding each year four feature films or television productions for the next five years. I also have a data base of better than 700 private investment companies or groups and even individuals who specialize in investing into entertainment type projects. SO, go ahead and send me what you have.

Dr. Randall Maxwell

Vladimir, I would have interest in seeing your script when finished "Agony." I would also like to see the script about the advice from the homeless many, forgot the title.

Tabitha Baumander

Sounds a bit like you mean Coffee and a Muffin. Its on my profile. the loglines and screenplays part

Tabitha Baumander

I just looked at your page. Coffee and a muffin is NOT a Christian script in fact there is a strong supernatural aspect namely the Easter European character known as the Baba Yaga.

Randall Roffe

Tabitha, travel a bit more, would you?

Dr. Randall Maxwell

Hi Tabitha, Thanks for letting me know. If you ever write a script that may be a good fit for my company, we are always receptive to taking a look at unknown writers, even without an agent.

Tabitha Baumander

Randall I asked you a questions privately about that comment so we would not hijack the thread.
