Hello Stage 32 er's. mmm. word? I am an actress and playwright and elephant activist and lover of pelicans. That's a mouthful. I just finished my first full length play and looking to do its first 'staged reading' here in Miami Beach. Also, just started working on a solo show which is driving me crazy! Hey Wendy! Glad to see another animal lover on here. My brother and I just published a book against animal cruelty and the destruction of nature called "Animal Crackers". If we do a second one, elephants are definitely going to be one of the focuses in it.

really? terrific. The plight of circus elephants is horrific. Working specifically on Nosey right now. Want to do a documentary about this journey of trying to get her confiscated and sent to sanctuary. USDA recently settled before her hearing. 36 animal welfare violations against the owner. Love the name animal crackers. Where can I find that? How do you manage the heartbreak?

I made a website for our book here: http://animalcrackersbook.wix.com/animal-crackers As you will see, my brother and I use dark humor (very dark in some cases) to balance the heartbreak; showing what it would be like if these animals could do to us what we've been doing to them to try to open people's eyes about what's going on. And I specifically ended the book with the California Condor and Bald Eagle to at least end on a more positive note about what we HAVE done to help save some of these animals.
