Introduce Yourself : Hi, I'm Bernadette Wood (the meaning of Bernadette is Brave Bear!) by Bernadette Wood

After years of sitting at a desk in an office, I am finally persuing my acting career. Am doing projects which I believe will enhance my career or be a really good experience for me to try and access all the needed ground work to enable me to become the best actress I can be. So far, I have experience in Theatre, Film (feature and short), rehearsed readings, musical theatre workshop, corporate and music video. I also love to sing and have graduated from drama school, completing a three year course in acting and musical theatre. I have loved being a member of Rock Choir and sung solos as well as singing harmonies within the group. I am going to re-join the group in September as have really missed it. Have plans too, to start some adult dance classes, to get into shape, but also because, although not a great dancer, do enjoy a good boogie and I think it is great exercise for the soul. My other plan is to take regular meditation classes as this is really good for the old brain box - enables it to acquire some stillness and refocus on what counts. I do care work when not acting because I believe it is very important to keep one's feet on the ground and working with severe dementia certainly does that. My long term goal is to continue to be an actress. My boyfriend asked me how long I would be persuing my acting career and I answered till the day I die.
