If so, what app do you use? Google Drive apparently can't handle Final Cut files, even if you just want to store them. I've heard Dropbox can work. I'm looking for ways to do back up to the cloud for free. What do other people use?
I use dropbox primarily to show cuts to clients but probably not the most cost effective to backup big files. I usually back up my files across many external drives.
I back up project files in my dropbox folder but storing footage is out of the question as it takes up far too much space, and it'd take an age to upload.
Dropbox is generally fine. I use Skydrive on the PC side, and if you use the Adobe software, your subscription comes with I think 20GB of cloud storage via Creative Cloud
While not free, CrashPlan is very affordable and has no capacity limit.
Thanks, Gary -- I'll look into it. I probably would exceed my maximum free space allotment on Dropbox pretty quickly.
