I'm sure you have read the requirements. Other than following those there isn't any other method. What I did for my one short film is get it accepted by a couple of film festivals.

It's all about the detail. Assuming you're talking about a film that has been completed and shown? As long as you've had a public screening, throw in all the detail about its premiere. If you don't have a website for the film yet, throw one together on wix.com (shouldn't take you more than an hour to get something basic up). Make a Facebook fan page. Add in all the key cast and crew -- their other IMDB credits will help legitimize yours. Nowadays it is easy to get an IMDB credit by submitting to relevant festivals (IMDB qualifying fests are listed on Withoutabox), but with some detail and effort, I've managed to get manual approval for many of the legacy short films I've produced that pre-date that policy change.

D Marcus is spot on, Lauren. Sign up for Withoutabox, enter one reputable film festival and you'll be good to go! It's very easy!

The truth is it all comes down to time on site. You can do all the little things but will probably still have to wait and go through the process. Projects still in production are the hardest to get listed, but not impossible. It's all about the details. Also, any print media (Local newspaper etc) or film festivals you've entered go a long way. The good? Once you start to get established and get a few credits. Both on your own and other projects, the process kind of... vanishes. Basically. Once you hit a point you can submit your project and it just goes up. No wait. But that all comes down to time/activity on site and your credits. As well as the quality of your credits. If you're a lead in a film with... Morgan Freeman, then you're instantly credible. More less. But it's all about building your iMDB resume. If you're in, even a backround extra a project get your credit added. Maybe you helped with a sound effect on a feature film... get your credit added. Get as much as you can and sooner or later the submission rejections, and then wait time will be lifted.

I just got an imdb page. It wasn't difficult I just added my credits. Only 1 hasn't been added. I think I know why. It wasn't a producer. Credit and it was uncredited but it was a better film I was apart of.

!.well first you make a short, 2.then you edit it , with your producing credit in it 3. you then set up a WAB account (without a box .com) free for filmmakers, etc 4. Fill out all the info on your film and the cast and crew etc, 5. enter YOUR film into IMDB .com approved festivals 6 and then you will get a email that you have sent in film from IMDB and the WAB is connected it is as easy as a 35 dollar entry into a film festival, now after that you are a bonafide filmmaker! just like the other half AMERICA ,,, good luck

Submitting your film to Createspace.com, and distributing it via Amazon Prime is also a means to get picked up in IMDB. It doesn't even need to ever sell on Amazon. Generally any film festival appearance will give you the evidence you need as previously noted.
