I am in the embryonic stages of a major funding possibility! I have just been made aware of a government program that's been around since 1990. It is the EB-1 program - Employment Based Immigration Program in which foreign individuals who would like to become citizens put up a minimum of $500,000 in a "Regional Center" here in the states. The center must create 10 full time jobs and I am told there is a lot of legal red tape. My contact tells me that we can raise up to $100M utilizing this method and that can be used for film production. This sounds way too good to be true so let me investigate it further. I am asking all of you interested in funding films to search "EB-5" on the internet and learn about this. Can you imagine if we could create "The Philadelphia Film Fund" here in Cherry Hill, New Jersey USA and be able to dole out money to young budding filmmakers? This is amazing and exciting! My contact informs me that we need a minimum of $30,000 in start up fees for legal work and government red tape compliance. But if that $30,000 could create a fund of $100,000,000 with full time employees working and helping the community - well, that just sounds fantastic! America - what a country!
