Looking for screen writer to h…

Looking for screen writer to help me write a script for an idea I have.

Ian Lane

I'm finishing a script now, and don't have any ideas for what to do next. Is this the thriller idea?

Onyx London

Yes its the thriller idea. well its more of a psychological thriller

Dylan Daniels

what do you need help with? the story or how to write it?

Onyx London

Both..

Dylan Daniels

i hear ya, everyone needs a partner in crime so to speak.

Onyx London

Yea but unfortunetly I haven't found one that thinks like me

Dylan Daniels

I got lucky, me and my co-writer can be working taking turns writing and when we trade off he writes it just as I would have and vice-versa.

Onyx London

Lucky you that's exactly what I'm trying to find .

Dylan Daniels

sometimes you just gotta start writing and they'll find you. Thats what happened to me. I had no clue what I was doing, then a friend of a friend asked me what I was doing and he said he could show me the ropes. We've been writing together ever since.

Onyx London

Ive tried and got screwed over. I know that ill find someone one day .

Dylan Daniels

until you do keep on writing.

Onyx London

I will otherwise I wont get anywhere. I hate waiting on people

Onyx London

I don't trust craigslist .... Ive known alot of people who've had bad experiences with that

Dylan Daniels

yeah I wouldn't trust Craigslist.

Onyx London

Exactly but ill deal with it . I know what I what at the momment.

Dylan Daniels

Wish they had a writing program that would let people link up together and write. I know FinalDraft8 has collabowrite feature but it's a huge pain in the ass. I used to use GoogleWave but that is gone now...

Clifford McKinney

there is a website called script buddy that will let multiple people work on one script.

Clifford McKinney
Onyx London

Yea it would make life a little easier. There probably is one somewhere

Onyx London

Oh ill check it out thanks

Clifford McKinney

How we use it to collaborate on a script is to create an account and just share the login and password with everyone that is working on the script. Another way to collaborate on a script would be if you had final draft or some other software would be to save the work in progress on Google Docs so that everyone has access to it. Both work out well if you are working on a project over distance.

Onyx London

Thanks sounds interesting

Dylan Daniels

That does sound interesting gotta give it a try. thanks

Onyx London

Well I'm not about to post my idea on the internet where everybody can read it . It makes it way too easy for people to take your idea . Last thing I need is to see someone gain success from my story without me. Ive seen it happen to many people . People arent as honest as they use to be

Dylan Daniels

People can be very shady. When I was working on my Playboy comedy, Playboy gave us House Bunny scripts to go over and get general ideas, before they had even started filming. Turns out they gave our script to the guys writing Play Boy's to get ideas and they down right stole our whole format and concept and turned it into Miss March. It's one of those things all three scripts were different, Someone liked ours better then theirs so they stole our idea. And as long as it's 60% different they can legally get away with it. Trust me my Lawyers looked into it and found that My Script plus Miss March had been sent to a company to be compared to make sure they couldn't be sued, all funded by Playboy.

Onyx London

Yea that really sucks. That's why Im not into giving people a look at my work. It's a shame tho

Dylan Daniels

I learned that even the people you trust the most can screw you over for money. It happens a lot.

Onyx London

That's also very true . There's not win/win situation here .. to many possibilities

Dylan Daniels

That's why I live by the rule always protect yourself first. Trust people second and third always plan for the worst.

Onyx London

Great words to live by .Ill keep that in mind
